Description
This photograph depicts two exquisite female physiques. They are shot vertically and portrayed as mirror images of each other. Also see what appears to be an abstract work on how the legs of the individual subjects are portrayed, where one leg is raised perpendicular to the body, while the other one is creatively positioned to cover the vital parts of the female figures. It exudes an enigmatic impact. The lighting is strategically situated to expose the silhouette of the body. The colors are very pleasing to the human eye with the luminescent skin contrasting the dark background, and overall, the shape is well-defined. The two female subjects are also facing away from the lens. Observers seem to be drawn in front of this scene because of the mysterious position that the two figures are forming.
The reversals used in this piece intermittently led my eyes over to the figurative position of the tip of the big toe of one of the female subjects, but keeps coming back to the fundamental area where the arms of the two female figures meet. This progressive motion happens largely because of the interesting outline conveyed by the position of the body in relation to the legs and the arms. The luminous complexion on the female subjects’ skin in opposition to the dark background also contributes to the incessant activity of our eyes as we view the photograph. This artistic image creates an appealing implication of showing how exquisite and delicate the female body is. The shady background contrasting the silhouette of the female subjects causes the stunning figure to emerge in the photograph, making it appear more vivid and adding spotlight to it. As a viewer of this photograph, will mainly feel intrigued and maybe a bit mystified of what the symbol of the figure is trying to convey. Departs the viewer wanting to learn and see more about what’s going on with the two female subjects and what emotions are they projecting.
Robert WK Clark found an interest in the female physique and wanted to portray them creatively. But to make them more interesting and artistic, he included a shadowy background to make the conspicuous figure more prominent. He also added the element of reversals wherein he used two female subjects placed in opposite position. Through that, we could grasp the gist of the creative image that the female body is a work of art. In my personal view, what a terrific idea, and an ingenious way of approaching a image and making it more captivating.
All in all, this is an appealing and distinctive masterpiece. Adore the contrasting colors and the reversals involved in this picturesque image. One would say purchase and definitely display. Absolutely pleased with the artistic depth it took to craft such a photograph, and could foresee that many might be encouraged to create of a similar piece in the future. The elements of reversals and impressionistic view that the photographer is trying to deliver through artistic work are undoubtedly perceived well by the viewers.
