This image seems to come with a great message in that the imperfect human form deserves to be beautifully celebrated in fine art, where many believe that it can be all about perfectionism. Outside of the length of the feet, great effort has been given to make the rest of the image symmetrical. The choice to put the subject directly in the center of the image and the strong darks pairing off with the softer highlights make the image feel more analytical, clinical, like an x-ray. Perhaps bringing the attention to the imperfection like this could be seen as a medical anomaly, typically viewed negatively, but so much care was given to make this such a beautiful image, I believe the intent was to show the beauty that can be created within those imperfections.
